Short biographical sketch. 
 
Paul Struck, born into a family of musicians, is a composer, arranger, conductor and chamber music teacher. He graduated from the Odessa State Conservatoire in 1985 and participated in the master class “Composing for Wind Orchestras” at the Bavarian Music Academy in 1994. He worked at Odessa State Conservatoire (1981-2002), at Odessa military region wind orchestra (1985-1996) then at the Central Music School (College) under the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory (Moscow) from 2003 to 2013. He was also a consultant to the Vladimir Spivakov Charity Foundation (2003). He is a founder of “WindMusicFest”, a wind music festival in Odessa, which first took place in 2000, and author of the article “Symphonic Wind Bands – Traditions and Contemporary Practice”. He became a member of the World Association of Symphonic Bands and Ensembles (WASBE) in 2008.
Paul Struck has composed more than 500 scores (including original works and arrangements) for different ensembles, symphonic and wind orchestras, and other formations. His scores have been published by several European wind music publishers - Loosman Musikverlag, Gobelin Music.
Paul Struck currently works as an arranger and composer for several chamber, symphonic and symphonic wind orchestras from Switzerland, Russia, Germany, Ukraine.
